Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Dhaka is the bigest airport in the Bangladesh Located in Kurmitola under Dhaka North City Corporation. There is a Railway Station just in front of the airport called Airport Railway Station (Biman Bondor Rail Station).

 

 

The airport is Operating and maintaining by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and also used by the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF). The airport Bengali name is Hojrot Shahjalal Antorjatik Bimanbondor and it has also known as Zia International Airport and Dacca International Airport.

 

 

The airport is the center point of all Bangladeshi airlines like Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Regent Airways, United Airways and NovoAir. Annual capacity of the airport is 8 million passengers where it handled 5.6 million passengers and 214,000 tonnes of cargo in the year 2012.
